Scorr, P.E., DIRECTOR RE: Permit Requirements - 8711 E Alki (Case #97 -210) Dear Mr. & Mrs. Shaw: It has been brought to our attention that a duplex has been established on your property located at the above - mentioned address, Spokane County Parcel No. 45184.0235. In checking our records, we are unable to locate a valid permit. A building permit is required under Section 106 of the Uniform Building Code as adopted by Spokane County. If our records are incorrect, or if you have information that would be helpful in resolving this matter, please contact us as soon as possible. If a permit has not been obtained, Section 107 of the Uniform Building Code requires that an investigation fee be charged whenever any work for which a permit is required has commenced without first obtaining the permit. The intent of this letter is to waive the investigation fee, provided you or your representative take appropriate action to obtain a permit within ten (10) days of the date of this letter. A recheck of our files will be conducted immediately following the time frame specified above. Your attention to the above will negate the need for further action. Please contact this office as soon as possible in order that this matter may be resolved.
