The equiprnent houscd in these buildings is used to codt stcel pipc for
underground ga sline service. The operation of the equipment is limited to
approximately four months per year in the late spring and early summer.
The area (35' x 240'), behind the buildings fronting on Lake Road would
not be accessable, and hence, lost as useable storage space. All avail-
able yard space is required for storago of steel, alutninum and plastic pipr
in lengths from 20' to SO' .
We request this variance to utilize this extra storage space that would be
lost. The building s are now located on North Dollar Road. They will be
dismantled, reassembled, and covered with prepainted steel panels to im-
prove the appearance of the buildings.
This entire area has been graded, compacted, roadways paved, and the
entire area covered with 3" of crushed rock and rolled. This preparatio.n
will keep the site clean and neat by eliminating the growth of all grass and
weed s .
The entire area will be enclosed by a 7' high cyclone steel fence. Because
of the Union Pacific Railroad tracks paralleling the property, the closest
useable portion of Lake Road would bc, approximately 17' from the _fence and
property line.
