MANSON, DIRECTOR Re: N. 5225 Bannen Road - Unsafe Mobile Home Dear Mrs. Schroeder: This office has received reports concerning the unsafe condition of the mobile home on your property located at North 5225 Bannen Road, Spokane County parcel number (portion of) 35643 -0302. Notice is hereby given that the mobile home located on the above - referenced property has been examined by the district building inspector, employed by this office, and has been found to be an unsafe building as defined by the Bui 1 di ng Code Ordinance of Spokane County, Resolution No. 82 -1226, in that the unit is unsafe due to the structural damage by fire. All buildings, including mobile homes, declared unsafe under the provisions of said ordinance are required to be abated by repairs or improvement or demolition and removal of the building or structure or portions thereof. Accordingly, you are hereby notified to commence either the repair or the improvement or demolition and removal of the building and structure or portions thereof within 48 hours following the receipt of this letter and to complete such repairs, improvement or demolition and removal within 90 days from receipt of this notice. You are further notified that said described building shall be brought into compliance with the requirements of Section 11.414 of the Uniform Fire Code, specifically, this section stipulates that, "Every person owning or in charge or control of any vacant building, including mobile homes, shall remove therefrom all accumulations of flammable or combustible waste or rubbish and shall securely lock, barricade or otherwise secure all doors, windows and other openings thereof." (Emphasis added). You have the option of repairing, improving or demolishing and removing these buildings, but in the event that you should fail to proceed to comply with the requirements of this notice, this matter may be presented to the Board of County Commissioners for further action in accordance with the terms of the Unsafe Building Ordinance. Please be advised that a violation of Resolution No. 82 -1226 does carry a penalty of, "... not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00), or by imprisonment for not more than ninety (90) days, or by both such fines and imprisonment."
