Sprague Spokane Valley, WA 99206 (509)921-1000 NOTICE OF ORDINANCE PASSED BY SPOKANE VALLEY CITY COUNCIL The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 14-004 passed by the Spokane Valley City Council on the 22"d day of April, 2014: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT JUSTIFYING THE ADOPTION OF INTERIM DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS AND AMENDMENTS TO SPOKANE VALLEY MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO REGULATION OF RECREATIONAL MARIJUANA, ADOPTING AMENDMENTS TO SPOKANE VALLEY MUNICIPAL CODE SECTIONS 19.85.010, 19.85.020, AND 19.120.050 TO MODIFY ESTABLISHED RECREATIONAL MARIJUANA BUFFER ZONES, AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO. Section One adopts specific Findings of Fact in support of the Ordinance; Section Two amends Spokane Valley Municipal Code (SVMC) 19.85.10 concerning maintaining at least 1,000 feet between marijuana production and certain property types; Section Three amends SVMC 18.85.020 concerning maintaining at least 1,000 feet between marijuana processing and certain property types; and states that marijuana processing in the regional commercial and community commercial zones shall be limited to packaging and labeling of useable marijuana. Section Four amends SVMC's Permitted Use Matrix to permit Marijuana processing as permitted with supplemental conditions (S) in the Commercial and Regional Commercial Zone Districts. Section Five sets out that the duration of the interim zoning controls shall remain in effect for six months from the date of Ordinance 14-002, unless subsequently extended or reduced by further City Council action.
