The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 14-010 passed by the Spokane Valley City
Council on the 9t day of September, 2014:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY, WASHINGTON
AMENDING SPOKANE VALLEY MUNICIPAL CODE TABLE 19.60-1-AND SECTION
19.70.010(B) RELATING TO REAR AND SIDE YARD SETBACKS ADJACENT TO RESIDENTIAL
ZONING DISTRICTS AND USES, AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO.
Section 1 explains that the purpose of this Ordinance is to amend Spokane Valley Municipal Code
(SVMC) Table 19.60-1 and Section 19.70.010(B) to reduce the rear and side yard setbacks in the light
and heavy industrial zones for sites located adjacent to residential zones and uses. Section 2 sets out and
makes certain Findings and Conclusions. Section 3 amends Table 19.60-1 to reduce setbacks in the
industrial zone and to include minimum side and rear yard setbacks when properties are adjacent to a
residential zone. Section 4 amends the Supplemental Regulations of 19.70.O10B to remove the setback
designations as supplemental regulations.
