.
Mr. Graham: First for consideration is the preliminary plat of "Clarkts
Hillcrest Homesn by Dro A. "tie Clark and Olive M. Clark, surveyed by Guy
Sturman. This nroposed dedication is the Stil-4 of IV-i of S21; of Section
21, Township 25 N. , Range 44, lying between Bowdish and Wilbur, Tenth
and Twelfth in the new Agricultural Zone established recently. Nir. 5tate
and PvIr. Chaffins of the Platti-ng Committee have e:amined this -oroposed
plat and have certain sUggestions to make.
NIr. State: The plat came to us by messenger and we didntt get a chance
to discuss it with the owner until just a few minutes ago. It goes witlz-
out saying, the size of his lots are more tha.n adequate, that is certaino
However, we examined the plat without having a chance to talk to him to
find out about any physical obstructions tha,t might be in the way. They
ha,ve provided for a east and west street which would be called Eleventh
Avenue, however there is a building just ahout where Eleventh should run
through so that would make the street lie a little to the north. The two
streets, Aowdish on the west and Twelfth on the south are now 40 foot
wide streets. For adequa,te access, we thought he should dedicate an
additional 10 feet to provide 1/2 of a 60 foot street. There is no
assurance that the owners on the other side would do that, but we thought
it would be an opportune time to enlarge the street. Not having an oppor--
tunity to talk to the owners we are prepared to accept the plat subject
to these cha, nges. I think I will make a, motion tha.t we acce-nt the plat
with r2gard to it's axea and size of lots as submitted, however, the width
of streets could best be determined after further consulting with Mr.
Cha,ffins, myself and the owners. The owners, in most cases, would be
willing to work out arrangements to get a wider street on the west and
southo
Mr. Bienza lrlha,t size a,re the lots7
PIre Stateo They vary on account of this street. Some are '100 feet wide
and 116 feet long. Other lots are 1001 by 1721. They all conform to
the minimum ].ot sizes.
Rr . I,I.yhres I-second his motion.
PvIr. 9ndersons Anyone here to be heard regard3ng this p1at? If not, it . •
_ has been moved and seconded that the plat be received as a preliminary
plat with exce-ption of the widening of two streets on the west and south
ten feet more. Motion carriedo
ACTION; Preliminary plat accepted subject to widening of two streets on
the west and south.
