which is a part of the original Tract 47 of Opportunity. ThQ Preliminary
Plat ha.s boen accepted. Tho stroet widths conform as originally accepted.
The lots are the same. Tho only oxception is this street tha,t i.s laid
out here, callod Fox street in the plat, is in crop and the owner didntt
want to ruin the crop, so he hasntt gradod 3.t or put the water main in.
The water ma,in is in on Cataldo gvenue. Ho has made this roquest; he wants
to do this by stages. He does have a cha.nco to sell lots over here on
'Vilbur Road which is already established and anproved. And he has re--
quested that we accopt this plat acconpanied by the custonary bond to
insure that this street may bo gradod and the water mains put in.
PjIr. . Walker: How much bond?
Mr. State: Mr. Chafiins has not h.ad a chance to inspeet it. ge hasnit

age of water. `
Mr. Walker; Zrlater pipe is gotting scarce.

He has this crop thero. I:c we co uld accept it with a borid to insure that
he would completa it after he gets tho crop off, it will be an accommodation

PRYjLTMIN$R.Y PLATS
NIr. GraYiam: NIr. Chairman, with your permission, we have three preliminary
platg which 1111 describe briefly, and will ask Ur. State, the Chairman of
the Platting Committee to comment on them. The first one is MESSEITGER
ADDITION. Part of Tract 47, Opportunity in T14 of NE4 of Section 16,
Township 25 Northg Range 441 lying between Boone 8c Cataldo jus
east of Wil.bur. The second one is McCA10 SU3DIVISION, which is Tract 128
and W2 0~` Traot .125 j Vera in St'J4 of SE4 of Section 15, Township 25 Northf
xar~ge 44; betweon 13lake and MoDonald just north of Sprague. The third one
is HO t S gCR.E TRkTS, part of NWA,.-of Nt'14 of Sedti,on 8) Townshtp 26 N. ,
Ranget3, lying just north of Farwell Road and west of Division. Thia
plat had been accepted as a prelimina,ry over a yeax ago and at that time
I believe there was some controversy regarding water. NIr. State, would
you care to comment on these7
Nr. State: Each plat is being introduced merely as a preliminaxy plat.
They have been examined by the County Engineerts Office and the arrange»
ment of lots aeems to be satisfactory. The width of streeta are satis--
factory under the circumstances. Itll refer to McCabe's Subdivision
first, in as much as it is a preliminary plat, I111 move it be accepted
as a nreliminasy plat.
Mr. Anderson: I second the motion. PiIotion carried.
ACTION: McCAMI5 SUBDIVISION accepted as a preliminary plat.
I-Ir. State: The plat of 14Iessinger's Addition is likewise a preliminary
plat and it is a subdivision of a.. or rather adjacent to an area that is
already platted. The lots axe more than adequa.te. The street wzdths are
adequate. I.r11 move tha.t that be accepted as a preliminaxy plat.
r,Ir. NlcClure : I second that motion. Mo tion carried.
.ACTION: ~MSSC-NGERi S ADDIiION accepted as a nreliminary plat.
NIr. Stata: Holmts Acre Tracts is being re--introduced as a preliminary
plat due to the fact that after apnroval of a yeax ago, that approval
has expired. The ownor at that time was unable to make satisfactory
axrangements to provide water on tha.t property and I think he has a state»
ment that he would like to make to the Commission now. He has conferred
with Mr. Chaffins: relative to the bond to insure having the water on the
land before offering the tract for sale. Now actually, I think he will
tell you he expects to have wells sunk, and in operation before he offers
a tract of land for sale and it is going to be requested that he incorpor--
ate a statement in the dedication, that none will be offered for sale
until the well is dug and water on the land. But it will procede, you
might say, tract by tract. NIr. Chaffins has gone over the amount of bond
with him which will be satisfactory.
NIr. Walker : l+rill he put a well on each tract ?
I4.r. State: He will not put them on all at the same time. I think possibly,
Mr. Holm you shoul,d explain tha,t to the Commission.
