At a meeting of the Spokane County Planning Commission held Thursciay afternoonr
May 28, 1953, the following action was taken and is recomaended to the Board of
County Comm3ssionera
I APPLICATIOITS TO MODIFY NOtf COjTFORMING USES
1. dpproeal of an application by I'red W. Lavell to extend an existing non-
conforming uae by adUng a 301 by 401 dfngng room to a caf e and tavern
oa a pert of Tract 7, Plat r2, Sazelwood Irrigated Farms, on the soutb
side of Sunset H3.ghway east of Normal Road ia an Agricultural zone. It
is tha opinion of the Flanaing Commission that the proposed addition
will have little if any effect on the character of the existing use or
the character of the general area•
2. Appi oval of au applioatioa by D Rowe McMullin to change an existing
non-conforming use, a maahine manufacturing plant to a commercial
potato peeling plant, located northwest of Ninth and Bradley, being
Lots 15, 16, 17 and 16 ip Bloak 49 Woodlawn Park Addition, in aSuburban
zone. Approval 3.s roaammended with the condition that the existing
building aot be enlargecl, that no vehiclea uaed in connectian with the
business be garked on the atreet, that there be no atorage of any k3nd

of da3.lv, that the operation be condiictpd in aacor4ance with standards
establiahed by the County Health Denertment, and the pormit be subject
