1. Jerlie.l of an applicatio of L. C. truck £or a sF,eci.i permit ta operte
a rabbitry of 340 adult rabbits on Lot 2, Block 5, Caroline Adition i.r.
the NE4 0£ Sea. 23-25-43, in a Suburbu Zone. (Koren & Granite Point
rive. ) It is recormended that this permit be denied becuse the appli-
cant failed to show, in accordance with provisions of Seaion 17 of the
Master Zone Resolution, that tr.e propos4d use, on such a large soale, was
in harmony with the permittad uses of e. uhurben Zone and the area in vhia!
it is r oposed to te lcated.
2. Apr..rovl of an a,lication by the S_a F C?nstruc....s Comany to opercite irl
an Unolassified Zone, an Asphalt dixzr Plant on Lots 114, 115, 116, 117,
120, 121 and 122 in First Addition to City Gardens in the SW of Seotion 4,
Township 26 N., Range 43. (Approximately 40 acres north of Center StroEt
and west of Pittsburg Street on the site formerly used tYy the County Road
Department for a grQVel pit and rck ar!ishing opertion.) It is believed
that the permit should t+e granted because the opponents, which were many,
failed to sha+r that the operation wuld adversely affeat the health, safety,
morals or general welfare o:f the public as required by Paragraph 1, Ssction
17 of the Ddaster Zono Resolution in order t ht the perm.it may be denied.
The proposed location is Qpproxi.tely 8U0 feet fr th i:L cor::r of Tr.'.15
t tr.:. nrust 3weiling and second alosQSt dwe.ling is approximately
1600 'det to the south. It is approxiately 34 of a mile from PSH 3;
YSH 6j Mead-Farwell Rad & Perry Road. T he removal of sand and gravi
and rock orushing is a permitted use in en Unclassified Zone. It is
. balieved that the addition of Qn esphAlt plant of the size proposed will
not materilly effeat e.otivity oarried on at tho location. It was not
shown that the Qsphalt plant proposed to b e moved fram its present location
erst o£ and adjacent to Geiger Field would have :^ uduly d..tri:r..:ntl : 'f:t
on the rea. A rook arushing activity utilizing t ho proposed aliff would
be less ha,zardous to the general publia than P.n oger.tion conducted from
pit which is nvoessary in many loations.
