1.Convene Meeting: Tom convened the meeting at 8:06 a.m.
2.Minutes of September 9, 2014: Did not have a quorum and need to approve next meeting.
3.Accident Prevention Plan:
Topic: Hazardous Materials
John will send out another email to the Directors asking for them to name the person
responsible for their department/sub-department for CD and PW. If no response, the
safety committee will name employees who will be responsible to label for their
department.
One Director did respond: Parks and Rec employee will be Brian Moat.
Once we have the group of employees, SC will meet to go over training and
guidelines for the program. We have until June 1, 2015 to label all items.
4.Safety Concerns:
None noted.
5. Other Business:
John has been working with Deven in PW to develop a formal training plan for their department.
Once the plan is in place, all training of employees will be entered into Eden for a training record.
At WSDOT, all employees must be fully trained before they ever start work and John would like to
move that direction as well, especially due to the hiring of interns who are seasonal or part-time.
Tom stated that the shop always has a winter ops meeting / safety protocol prior to the snow season
starting. John stated he will obtain the WCIA snowplowing video for the new employees to review.
John rev
to fit any pandemic not just H1N1 Influenza, as the plan was specifically addressing.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:25 a.m.
