1.Convene Meeting: Tom convened the meeting at 8:06 a.m.
2.Minutes of November 19, 2013: Consensus to approve the minutes as presented.
3.Accident Prevention Plan:
Michelle passed out the draft
John said he had distributed the draft to the directors and only two got back to him with edits
o
Michelle will edit and John will distribute to employees as part of the APP
o
John, Tom and Michelle will meet to go over the GHS powerpoint presentation training materials and
prepare to train staff prior to June 1
4.Safety Concerns:
John Whitehead stated two employees were involved in auto accidents since our last meeting
Both were no fault of the employees
o
One was weather related and a citizen slid into a city vehicle causing no damage to the
o
bumper
The other, a citizen ran a red light and hit the truck bumper. No injuries.
o
Michelle asked if either Tom or John ever heard back on the laptop restraints
Neither of them has heard anything back
o
Tom mentioned involving IT; Michelle will contact IT to have them research products
o
5. Other Business:
Tom had some information re: the Safety Conference he attended
He asked about safety audits; mentioned having Evergreen come to the shop to review
o
Asked if we had a mission statement; John is checking to see if we do have a policy and the
o
mission statement may be in it
o
the one on the L&I website as well and confirm it can replace the minutes
John stated that he had put money into the budget for training in 2014

Fire extinguisher training was mentioned as well as first aid; first aid being only necessary for
o
those who go into the field being City Hall is in such close proximity to the fire department
John will check with PW and confirm they are current with Flagger and First Aid training
o

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:45 a.m.
