JAMES L. MANSON, DIRECTOR
Laws and regulations in our society are, at times, difficult to understand and
fully cmnprehend. This is true of zoning ordinances, which are laws intended
to protect and govern the many different uses of land in Spokane County. It
is my responsibility, as the Zoning Investigator, when the situation arises,
to help resolve conflicts involving the Spokane County Zoning Ordinance'
In accordance with our conversation on February 1, 1984, enclosed is a copy of
the new requirements regarding Day Care Facilities.
As it was explained, you may operate a family day care home at your present
address which provides a maximum of six or fewer children. This does not
include any children of your own.
Your indication that you will be moving at the end of the month will present
no problems with this office, should you desire to continue your present care
level for this period of time,
In terms of continuing your care facility at your new address, the ordinance
allows for a Mini Day Care Center in a single family home. the maximum number
of children allowed is 1? or fewer.
Should you have any qeustions regarding the ordinance, please feel free to
contact me at 456-3675.
