Sprague Spokane Valley, WA 99206 (509) 921-1000 NOTICE OF ORDINANCE PASSED BY SPOKANE VALLEY CITY COUNCIL The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 15-009 passed by the Spokane Valley City Council on the 28th day of April, 2015: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT JUSTIFYING THE ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 15-005 AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A MORATORIUM ON MINING, MINERAL PRODUCT MANUFACTURING, AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO. Section 1 adopts the Findings of Fact in support of Ordinance No. 15-005 and the establishment of a moratorium on mining and/or related mining site operations as listed; Section 2 states the moratorium shall be and remain in effect for a period of 365 days from the date of Ordinance 15-005; Section 5 sets forth that the ordinance takes effect five days after publication of the ordinance or summary thereof as provided by law.
