1. Approval of Minutes. It was moved by Chris Berg, seconded and unanimously agreed to approve
the minutes as drafted.
2.
tted to Tim Klein by
the end of the week, and he will submit the suggestions to CH2MHILL, and ask for a final draft.
3. Safety Training
Chris Bainbridge mentioned the upcoming bloodbourne pathogens free training, and it was
determined that she will send an e-mail to all employees making them aware of the training
opportunity, and will coordinate the training with the fire department and Chief Thompson. Chris
Bainbridge and Trish will check with Dave Mercier about CPR and First Aid Training costs; and
will schedule with Chief Thompson, the fire extinguisher training here for early fall when more
employees should be available as opposed to conducting the training during the summer. The issue
of safety equipment and shoes was discussed and it was determined that such should be included in
4 & 5.
Chris Berg reported and he, Matt and Bing attended the expo workshop sponsored by Allied
Security, but that most of the items they were promoting were not practical for our operations.
However, the idea of setting up some type of web server
should assistance be needed, was discussed, and it was mentioned that some of the panic button
hardware can cost as much as $8,000. Discussion continued on this topic, including the ideas of
icons on desktops, keystroke panic buttons and what to do in case of hitting such button in error
(such as placing something on the keyboard and hitting the button by mistake); hardware
warranties, and whether such a system would be compatible with what we currently have, and if it
would be fully expandable. Matt indicated he would do further research on the topic. Power
outages were also discussed, and Matt mentioned that our server has a 30-minute emergency

backup, thereby allowing someone to send an emergency message from the server room if
necessary. Other issues discussed included establishing a system to connect City Hall, the Police
Department, and CenterPlace through a communication system. Matt had some information from a
company by the name of Lynx, and it was mentioned that other examples would be necessary prior
to moving forward with quotes once it has been determined from upper management to pursue such
avenues. Matt said that he and Bing will be able to provide more examples.
6. Other Items
Brian brought up the defibrillator and the need for a prescription, and Cary said that he will ask
around about the legal requirements for a prescription for the device.
There being no other business, the meeting adjourned at 11:55 a.m.
