The June meeting of the Employee Safety Committee began at approximately 11:00 a.m.
1. Approval of Minutes. It was moved by Trish Burns-Hart, seconded and unanimously agreed to approve
the April 23, 2007 minutes as drafted.

It was requested that any suggested changes be submitted to Tim Klein by the end of June, and perhaps Tim
could contact CH2MHILL to try to get an anticipated completion date from them. It was mentioned that this
k at the next
meeting concerning this item to get the issue finalized.
3. Safety Training
It was mentioned that Chris Berg, Bill Schultz, Jennifer Cusick and Greg Smith attended the free training on
y of our local Fire Department; and reported back that the training was very
well done.
4. Facility Security Panic Protocol Chris Berg/Bing and/or Mat
-wide duress and mass emergency notification system is appealing, it was
suggested additional bids and/or informal quotes from other companies might be prudent before moving to
recommend something of this nature to upper management. It was also suggested that Bing and/or Matt write
something up and Chris Bainbridge will send the request to the City Manager for consideration. Cary
Driskell said he will check with WCIA to see if they have any suggestions for panic protocol. If such panic
protocol were installed, it was suggested to place such in several areas if possible, but at least at the permit
center and main reception area.

5. Work Area/Building Safety Concerns
The issue of snakes at CenterPlace was discussed and Tim mentioned that Brad Southard and Chris Berg are
aware of the situation. The idea of placing warning signs in the rocks was also discussed, and Cary Driskell
said he will discuss this issue with Parks and Recreation Director Mike Jackson and with our insurance
carrier WCIA.
Having a visitor sign-in or check-in procedure was again mentioned, and Trish said she can check with
management on the best way to proceed with this suggestion.
6. Other Items:
The AED at the Senior Center was briefly discussed, and the prescription for such. Additional research will
be conducted on this issue as time permits.
