It was mentioned that there are several vague sections such as the recommendation of having three months of supplies, but no indication upplies would include. It was the consensus of the committee that the Safety Committee is not qualified to comment on this document and therefore, are unable to make any recommendations. Caroline McRoberts will be informed of the decision as it was Ms. McRoberts who was asked to give the Plan to this committee for review. 3. Safety Committee Meeting Minutes 08-22-07 Page 1 of 2 Other safety issues and concerns included the City Hall parking lot and the speed of traffic entering or leaving the parking lot, that perhaps Redwood Plaza could post reminder messages about watching out for children and pedestrians; a mention of our request for cross-walk and/or loading signs for designated areas seem to be ignored by building owners; and mention that safety reminders should be sent to Carolbelle for inclusion in the newsletter. 4. Heat Stress Rule Update. The committee feels no follow-up is necessary except it would be beneficial if entities such as WCIA or AWC would alert all cities to any future pending legislation in this regard. 5. Work Area/Building Safety Concerns: Warning signs; general safety awareness training mentioned that the warning signs have been taken care of. Tim Klein Note: There will be no September Safety meeting as committee members are encouraged to attend the September 19 Spokane Regional Health District Training session at CenterPlace. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 11:35 a.m. Safety Committee Meeting Minutes 08-22-07 Page 2 of 2
