Dear Mr. Melaas:
In looking through our records, we show there has been no final
inspection on your wood stove, permit number 80B-2978. Section
305 (a) of the Uniform Mechanical Code specifically states "When the
installation of a mechanical system is complete, an additional and
final inspection shall be made". We therefore request that you
contact us within ten (10) days from your receipt of this letter so
that we may do so.
If you have any questions, please contact our office.
Sincerely yours,
DEPARTMENT OF BUILDING AND SAFETY

Re: No Final Inspection
Dear Mr. Melaas:
Spokane County
Department of Building & Safety
JAMES L. MANSON, DIRECTOR
A recheck of our records indicates that no arrangements have been
made to correct the situation; i.e., no final inspection as required
by Section 305(a) of the Uniform Mechanical Code on the wood stove
located at E. 11836 Empire Way, permit number 80B-2978.
As stated previously, a final inspection is required on a mechanical
sy stem.
Since the ten day time frame that was established has lapsed without
contact, we must require that a final inspection be requested within
ten days of your receipt of this letter, or this entire matter wi l l be
forwarded to the Spokane County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for
appropriate legal action.
Should you have any questions, please contact this office between 8
a.m. and 4 p.m., weekdays.
Sincerely yours,
DEPARTMENT OF BUILDING AND SAFETY
