1.Convene Meeting: Chair Michelle Rasmussen convened the meeting at approximately 11:07 a.m.
2.Election of Committee Officers: By unanimous decision, Michelle Rasmussen was elected to Chair
again, Mary May was elected Vice-Chair, and Patty Bischoff was elected Recorder.
3.Minutes of January 20, 2010: There was a consensus to approve the minutes as presented.
4.Accident Prevention Plan: John Whitehead added ergonomic issues. Final draft was signed by
Mike Jackson. This is required by L&I, and will now go to them for review/input/modification. Public
Plan will also be reviewed and updated. The A.P.P. is a living document and can be
updated and re-signed in the future.
5.Safety Concerns:
a.L&I inspected the elevator at CenterPlace. A few minor issues are being remedied by staff to
comply with these very stringent guidelines and rules.
b.Public Works has added flags, signage and cones to their truck for more visibility and
cautionary warning to the public.
c.It was suggested that we discuss locks on doors to our departments, key cards?, etc.
6.Employee Training:
a.H.R. will be collecting training records from employees to enter into EDEN to centralize and
automate records. All department training budgets were consolidated into one amount
administered by H.R.
b.We should determine trainings for employees including what is required and what is desired.
Please ask your departments/employees for suggestions and bring the ideas to the next
meeting.
