MANSON, DIRECTOR DENNIS M. SCOTT, DIRECTOR TO Joseph B. Seymour FROM: Department of Buildings DATE: August 24, 1990 RE Results of safety inspection on plumbing system located at North 218 Fox Road. 1) The remodel of North 218 Fox Road which took place between June of 1971 and June of 1972 was described as addition to residence (recreation room); however, upon inspection it was discovered that a kitchen sink had been moved and installed in a different location, and an extra toilet had been installed in the laundry room. These plumbing installations and alterations would of required a permit. Our records show no plumbing permit being issued during the above mentioned dates. This is a violation of the Uniform Plumbing Code Section Number 20.4 [1988]. 2 3 Kitchen Sink: The drainage and vent configuration that was used to rough -in the kitchen sink is not correct. The trap is located above the vent which could cause siphonage of the trap. [Uniform Plumbing Code Section 702]. The toilet that was added was not vented; and is being discharged into an existing drywell which was designed only for the kitchen and laundry grey water. 4) Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
