Having spoken to all the residents currently living on the section of the road at question it

reviewed prior to a name change. It is our opinion that a street name change should be
our last resort. The home owners affected by this request would like to propose the
following as a solution:
We would like to put up road signs at each of the corners currently unmarked. (See
enclosed drawing) This should be adequate information for emergency response
personnel to locate addresses with in our development. If there are any questions please

It is our experience that road name duplications will continually cause confusion for all.
It is the position of the Spokane Valley Fire Department that it would be best to change
the duplication of 11th Lanes. We recommend that five homes should have a South
Glenn Lane address. (See attached Map B).
We realize it will cause some short-term inconvenience in changing your addresses,
but the long-term benefit will outweigh the inconvenience. We have already had one
confusing emergency response. I'm sure that neither the Spokane Valley Fire
Department, nor any residents, want to accept the liability of a delayed emergency
response.

RE: Private Roads
Dear Jeff,
While doing my spring check of sub -divisions, I came across numerous private
roads that had not installed their street signs. The following are what I believe are
private roads needing signage:
Fairway Lane at Appleway
Bluebird Lane at Appleway
Pepper Lane at Mission
Keystone Meadows (PE -1860.98) has buildings under construction and no street
signs.
Also a related issue, Parc Center (PE -1809-96) at 11th and Pierce has an
address problem. The development has a private road (11t) and a driveway
easement that runs south and back to the east. There are 5 homes that are on
this driveway. The way the lots are addressed has caused an emergency call to
be delayed. Please review the enclosed map of the development which I have
included the current addressing. I would like to see the driveway assigned a
road name with north/south addressing.
Also a private road or driveway is not labeled in Liberty take. This is at the east
end of Knox and the road accesses Appleway. It has sidewalks and looks like
any other road out there. Paul Chase told me that at one time the developer
asked that the road be named "Discovery Place". That name already exists in the
Mirabeau Park project. He believes that "Swing" is the proper name for this road.
