Building Permit Application: 13308 E. Heroy Avenue.
The majority of this project is limited to the repair/ replacement of some of
the siding. A small area of the wall under the siding was scorched and
smoke damaged, but the sheathing was not burned through. A still smaller
area at the top of the wood deck was partially burned through. Therefore,
we do not expect any of the 2 x 6 studs in the exterior wall to be damaged.
The framing portion of the project includes the replacement of (4) 2 x 6 deck
boards and possibly one 2 x 10 deck floor joist located just below the burn
area of the exterior wall. If required, a new deck joist would be hung next to
the one slightly damaged joist.
Based on my conversation with Tom today, I believe this project is exempt
from the requirement of providing a stamped drawing prior to issuance of a
pernii t.
If this is not correct, please advise me right away.
