Roof Inspection
Dear Mr. Ludtke:
June 22, 2011
An inspection of the roof al the above residence was performed m assess the roofs capability of
supporting an additional single ply membrane roof which weighs en additional 0.5 PSF (pounds
per square foot).
The existing roofing consists of a 4 -layer built up roof with an upper layer of asphalt roofing all
on plywood decking. A one square foot sample of the existing roofing to remain was removed
and found to have a weight of approximately 4.2 PSF. 1 have reviewed the existing framing
(2x10 joists spanning 12' to a 6x16 beam that is 30' in length with a column at 15') and I have
determined that the existing roof can support the added roofing.
A general observation of the roof showed no signs of water damage.
