We are reclassifying the building as an M-1 occupancy. The permit already states "no commercial use", so there should be no conflict. The valuation was calculated using the private garage of masonry construction valuation of $13.90 per sq. ft. as opposed to the $17.70 per sq. ft. for a public garage. A second item is that the valuation calculation was rounded off in error from; $27,022 to $27,000. To be acceptable to the Auditor and additional permit fee of $5.00 is required, because each additional $1,000 or each fraction thereof is considered the same, making the fee $184.00 instead of $179.b0.
