Background,
The Planning Commission last yaar directed the staff to evaluate the exist-
ing Multiple Family Suburban Zones in the Spokanc Vallay and to recommend
appropriata zoning for thesa araas because of the impending change to tha
Zoning Ordinanca (delating mobile homws and mobile homa courts from tha
Multiple Family Suburban Zonz).
A. Reasons;
In 1967, LaBerry Mobile Park was spscifically designad and platted
for mobile homes on individual lots. All lots and standards contorm to
the Re sidential Mobile Home Zone.

Accompanying this letter you will find a notice of a proposed rezoning
action to appe ar on the aqe nda of the Pl anning C ommi s si on thi s m onth .We
felt that it was desirable to explain further to you why this matter was being
considered.
VVhen your mobile home court (or plat) was established it was zoned
Multiple Family Suburban. Since that time the Commission hae established
a new zone particularly for mobile homes; nameiy, the Residential Mobile
Home Zone. The Commission is now revaluating a11 MultiAle Family Suburban
Zones to determine whether they should be reclassified into the IVlobile Home
Zone or to remain Multiple Family Suburban. Since your area was desiqned
specifically for mobfle homes and has developed or is developinq almost
exclusively for mobile home use, the Commission instructed us to advertise
and notify you of their intent to consider reclassifying your property to the
Mobile Home Zone.
You are, of course, invited to appear at the hearing January 29, 1974,
or to call our office if you have any questions. I want to emphasize that the
new zoning proposed is intended to further encourage the development and use
of your property for mobile home s.
