Backctround;
The Commission last year directed the staff to avaluate the exists.ng
Multiple Family L'J'uburban Zonas in the Spokane Valley and to recommend
appropriata zoning for these areas because of tha inipending changa to the
Zoning Ordinance (deleting mobile home s and mobile home courts from the
Nultiple Family Suburban Zone ) .
A. Reasons:
The LaConnie's Mobile Homa Park Additfon was designad and platted
for mobile homes on individual lots in 1957. All lots and standards
confarm with the Residential iVlobila Home Zone. The platted lots ara
currently being used for mobila hornes and a mobile home court has
bean established to the north and east of the plattad area.

Accompanying this letter you will find a notice of a proposed rezoning
action to appear on the agenda of the Planning Commission this month. We
felt that it was desirable to explain further to you why this matter was being
considered.
1Nhen your mobile home court (or piat) was established it was zoned
Multiple Family Suburban. Since that time the Commission has established
a new zone particularly for niobile home s; namely, the Residential Mobile
Home Zone. The Commi ssion is now revaluatinq all Multiple Family Suburban
Zones to determine whether they should be reclassified into the Mobile Home
Zone or to remain i1/Iultfple Family Suburban. Since your area was designed
specifically for mobile homes and has developed or is developing almost
exclusively for rnobile home use, the Comm3ssion instructed us to advertise
and notify you of their intent to consider reclas sifying your property to the
Mobile Home Zone.
Yau are, of course, invited to appear at the hearing january 29, 1970"
or to call our office if you have any questions. I want to emphasize that the
new zoning proposed is intended to further encourage the development and use
of your property f or mobile home s.
