A. REASONS:
1. Although properties on t'lie south sida of harrington Road are zonea
Rasidential Mobilz Home, the Commission in reviewing testimony
at the hearing cnncluded that the advertised request would intrud':~
into tha established residential nei3hborhood to the north.
2. The Commission notes that 11 homes have been constructed within
the advertised area allowing only three, more possible building sirJs.
The Commission is of the opinion that the residential charzcter of
the block has bten sufficiently established.

First: ~t~here has r~ever been an instance wk~ere putting in a
trai].er par ~k has did anything but reduce thP value af ad jacen.t
residential property; so we would in affedt.~would -be subsidis.ing
the trailer park,
Secand: The anly feasible way to make a trailPr pa.rk com-
patible with residential areas is to have abuffer zane betweem
them such as a green belt area, but abviously with only 66.040
square f eet there i s nvt enough ropm f or that.
Third: I intend to retire within the next two years and at
that time 1 intend to tear dawn the existing building vn our
property and build a new home fvr our retirement and we certainly
don't want a trailer park next to our home.
Fourth: The presentation Ieaves much to be desired. I am not
q,uestioning the accuraey of the proverty demription but the lack
of the Lot numbers on the map, in particular, Lvt numbers af ad-
jacent properties to the proposed trailer park.
The thing that impresses us, is the convenience that this re-
quest affQrds the petitiv:ner. There is a mailing d.ate of May 31 ,
1974 on the envelnpe that we received in Anchorage, "laska june 4,
1974. Ten days is completely absurb as far as notice ie concerned,
or perhaps date af the notice should stem from the time it was can--
ceived in the mind of the petitioner. If you will 14 days from the
mailing date at Spokane, Washington to the date vf the hearing on
June 14, 1974.
We are haping tha.t this petltlaM will be deniecl, at least, pending
proper presentation, not perhdaps by law but by moral values,
