We are owners of the property immediately to the east of the property
requesting this rezoning.
We are protesting the rezoning of this property from Multiple Family
Suburban to Commercial for the following reasons:
We plan to retire to our property within the yea,r and feel this type
of business is inept. It would deprive us the enjoyment of our
property as a resident.
Noise and confusion from automobiles and motorcycles at all hours.
Undesirable odors.
There are many types of eating places and no need for this type of ~
business in a residental neighborhood.
A pizzeria would eventually if not immediately be asking for an
alcoholic beverage license.
While visiting Opportunity in 1973, there seemed to be an ample number
of places where a business of this type would be more suitably located
and not adjacent to private dwellings.
As it is impossible for either of us to be in Spokane at the time of
the rezoning heaxing, we have appointed Mr. Miller Engemann to represent
us in this ma.tter, as our agent.

I am deeply opposed to such a cnangei
and request that the area remain as it iffi
now classified, multiple family. This area
will become I think, ideal for multifamily
once tne street noise is reduced, noisey
automobiles and speed driving. It has every
needed 4uality at short dista.nces to make
family life pleasant. I have in the past
lived a few hundred feet east of this tract
and know from first hand knowledge about its'
advantages.
