Sanson Newman Lake, WA 99025 SUBJECT: 24'X 24'X 8' POST FRAME BUILDING FOR GREG KELSEY, 608 N. DICK ROAD, SPOKANE VALLEY, WA Dear John: This post frame building has been sold to Mr. Kelsey and will be erected in Spokane Valley, WA using the standard post frame building plans I have provided for Cook Bros. Steel Buildings. The required loads for buildings in this area is 30 PSF roof live (snow) load, 85 MPH wind speed, Exposure B, Seismic Design Category C and 2,000 PSF allowable soil bearing pressure per the 2003 International Building Code. Posts are spaced @ 12' o. c. and the building has a 4:12 roof pitch. I have evaluated this building for the diaphragm design characteristics used in the design of the standard post fame building plans. The front endwall has a 16' x 7' overhead door. There is sufficient steel sheeting on this endwall to resist the shear on the building endwall and roof caused by wind loads on the building sidewall & roof. The rear endwall has no openings. There is sufficient steel siding on this endwall to transfer lateral loads on the roof and wall to the base of the building. There left endwall has no openings. The right endwall has a 3' pass door. Sidewall openings do not affect the lateral load resistance of the building. You may use the standard post frame building plans to erect this building. Please feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions about the design of this building. Please feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions about the design of this building cerely, Daniel Wambeke, P.E.
