Planning Commission Recommendation: Approve to Residential Office Zone
subiect to the followinqr condition: (Unanimous vote)
A. CONDITIONS:
Approval of access by the Spokane County Engineer's Office and State
Highway Department.
B. REASONS:
1. The Planning Commfssion has been approving R,esidential Office
applications on Airgonne Road and fihe couplet between Trent and
Sprague Avenues. The Planning Commission notes that Residentiai
Office zoning was approved at Cataldo and Argonne in 1968 and at
Knox and Argonne f n 1971.
2. The performance standards of thz Residential Offfce Zone will make
the project more compatible with ad)oining residential properties by
providing for landsCaping, encouraging proper development of
off-street parking areas, and limiting advertising signs. In addition,
the Planning Commission notes that Multiple Family Suburban projects
will help buffer the office from residential properties to the east
and s outh .
