RE: No Final Inspection - East 10917 Mallon
Gentlemen:
A recent visual inspection indicated that the residence located at
the above address, has been occupied without a final inspection.
It should be noted that Section 305(d) of the Uniform Building Code
requires that there be a final inspection and approval on all
buildings and structures when ready for occupancy or use.
As a result of a final inspection, you were requested to:
1. Install smoke detectors on main floor and in basement.
2. Install hand and guardrails on back entry.
A subsequent recheck of our records indicates that a final
inspection has not been requested We are, therefore, requesting
that you contact this office within ten (10) days of the date of
this letter to establish a time frame for resolution of these
requirements.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me
between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., weekdays.

A recheck of our files indicates that no arrangements have been
made to correct the situation; i.e., no final inspection on the
residence located at East 10917 Mallon.
As stated previously, a final inspection and approval are required
prior to occupancy.
Since the ten (10) day time frame established has lapsed without
contact, we must require that notification be received by this
office as to the time frame needed to resolve this matter within
ten days of the date of this letter, or this entire matter will be
forwarded to the Spokane County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for
appropriate legal action.
