Gentlemen,=
I am writing in regard to N`~r. Robert Farrill's request
for local business Loning in the area of the Northeast corner
of Moffitt Road and Sprague Avenue.
I signed the petition that Mr. Parrill presented to me
because he a ssured me that he was intereAted in constructing
an office building of some sort - in'the line of a clinic,
lawyers offices or Real Fstate office. He distincly insisted
he did not want a tavern or anfthing of this nature in this
locatio n.
It wa s not until I received notice of a hearing o n
December 17th that I was aware a drive-in- restaurant was
be ing co nsidered .
I wish to have my signature removed from Mr. Yarrills
petitio n.
I feel that a drive-in restaura nt, with the irregular
hours, noise, etc. would cause the value of my property to
drop considerably. I also feel tr.at this type of business
i
would cause excess traffic on Moffitt Road, which is a narrow
street, and would thereby endanger the safety of my small child-
ren.
I am presenting this letter to voice my request that I
this request for local business zoning - for the purpose
of building a drive-in restaurant - be turned down. It is
necessary for me to be out of town on the day of the hearing,
I trust this letter will serve the purpose.

- Dear Sirs :
We ;wish to express our feeling concerning the rezoning of
ZE 21 - E4 from multiple family to local business.
The use factor of the property, if used as a drive-in resturant,
would be very objectionable. The debri scattered throughout the
surrounding area fron a drive-in near--by is the main objection.
AlLo there would be a L_-reatly 'increased aibount of traffic as a re-
sult of this. This would create an unsafe nei-hborhood as far as
the children are concerned.
We have no objection to a business type of office, but the
• drive i:~ restaur::.nt will creato~,a noisy, untidy and unsafe neigh-
' borhood.
I have lived in this location for nearly 20 years and hope that
the strip city being planned will not cause me to move. There is
no doubt Sprague Avenue "strip city" is extendinE in length with
very little being done in depth. The home ov,rmer living clos e to
. an access street to this city seems to be taken in by this type
of expansion.
