zone change to use the propnrty f or a lumber yard.
This letter is to acquaint you xi.th the Fi.re Code requirements of Spokane County
for lumber yards• I am not quoting the entire section but only the part tha* sefers
-to the land use. MR. C. F. Thackwell, County Building Inspector.9 has a capp of the
Fire Code if needed for reference•
Section 22.1 Peimit Required
No peraon shall store in excess of 100,000 board feet of lumber without
a permit•
Section 22.2 Open )Fard Storage
a. Lumber shall be piled xith due regard to stability of pilesand in
no ease higher than 20 feet*
b. Irivexays between and around lumber piles shall be at least 15 feet wide
and maintained f re e fram accumulation of rubbishjequipment or other
articles or materials. Drivex'aya shall be 9o spaced that a maxiaum grid
system unit of 50 feet by 150 feet is produced•
c. PeYmanent lumber storage..operating under a permitpshall be surrounded
with a suitable fence at least 6 fest high,unless storage is within
a building.
