MANSON, Director April 28, 1980 RE: Special Inspection of Duplex located at North 607 McCabe Road. To whom it may concern: Mr. Ken Allread of the Spokane County Building Codes Department performed a special inspection of the above addressed property and noted the following: (1) No smoke detector. This was not a requirement at the time duplex was built. (2) Needs a handrail from lower to upper level. (3) Guardrails on deck must have intermediate railings no greater than 9 inches apart. (4) Laundry room air vent needs a cover at the termination point on the roof. (5) A waterproof material is needed at the back of the building where an addition was made. The above items would make the building conform to the 1979 Building Code, but we do not have the power to enforce confomance at this time.
