To: CTI • Time: 1:30 pm '8 Locatio 3 1215 S Raymond 1D&HJob No.: SO4-004 . Thomas, Dean & Hoskins Inc. perfornned a limited site observation of the residence at 1215 S Raymond. The purpose of this visit was to review the construction of the existing roof structure within the first 20 feet of the entrance so that repair recommendations could be provided to bring the structure within the design requirements of the Uniform Building Code for gravity loading. ` Upon reviewing the structure it was found that the existing construction contained an innegular combination of support methods with no well-defined load transfer system. It was apparent by our observation that the existing construction was substantially deficient in its ability to meet Uniform Building Code load requirements and that installing finishes onto the existing framing • would place the owner at genuine risk. After evaluating the situation it was decided that a field fabricated truss design would be provided for the west area while a rafter reinforcement and bearing system would be recommended at the east end. - .,ti:F♦fti.•: -•:7':L'. `,,' . •` 1 -.7i ..t., -APP.
