Rich Ave. Spokane, WA 99216-1584 Dear Mr. Bentley: I have reviewed the construction method of lowering by 2 feet,the roof on the South end of the above referenced building. Stabilizing the truss by attaching it to the truss on the opposite side of the post with blocking is an adequate method for what the owner is trying to accomplish,namely, stepping down the roof. I have also reviewed the structural analysis with Valley Best Way Truss Company and have found that the loading on the trusses is well within the requirements for a structurally sound building. 4/ 4, rt..
