Interstate PE3408 High Density Polyethyiene Pipe
Interstate PE3408 Pipe is manufactured from a high density, very high molecular weight
polyethylene compound specifically designed for high hoop stress, outstanding stress crack
resistance, and low temperature toughness.
Performance Features and Benefits
• Excellent chemical and corrosion resistance
• Outstanding stress crack resistance
• Lighfinreight and flexibfe
• Superior abrasion resistance
• NSF tested and certified for potable water
• High long term hydrostatic strength
~ • Tough and ductile
Interstate PE3408 pipe has outstanding physical properties. It does not rot; rust; pit or corrode
through chemical or electrical reactions with the surrounding soil whether it is acidic, afkaline, wet
or dry. It neither supports the growth of, nor is it affected by algae, bacteria, or fungus. It is aiso
resistant to marine biological attack.
Protection against ultraviolet degradation during extended periods of outside storage and above
ground service use is provided by the addition of carbon black and chemical thermal stabilizers.
Typical Appiications for Interstate PE3408 Pipe • Municipal water service lines • Industrial water distribution
• Well piping • Oil patch lines
• Lawn sprinkler systems • Drilfing supply lines
• Swimming pools • Sewer lines
• Livestock watering lines • Marine lines
• Potable water distribution lines • Process cooling lines
• Farm and ranch irrigation • Ground source heat pumps
• Fiber optic innerduct • Electrical conduit

Interstate PE3408 High Density Polyethyiene Pipe
Interstate PE3408 Pipe is manufactured from a high density, very high molecular weight
polyethylene compound specifically designed for high hoop stress, outstanding stress crack
resistance, and low temperature toughness.
Performance Features and Benefits
• Excelient chemical and corrosion resistance
• Outstanding stress crack resistance
• Lightweight and flexible
• Superior abrasion resistance
• NSF tested and certified for potable water
• High long term hydrostatic strength
~ • Tough and ductile
Interstate PE3408 pipe has outstanding physical properties. It does not rot; rust; pit or corrode
through chemical or electrical reactions with the surrounding soil whether it is acidic, alkaiine, wet
or dry. It neither supports the growth of, nor is it affected by algae, bacteria, or fungus. lt is also
resistant to marine biological attack.
Protection against ultraviofet degradation during extended periods of outside storage and above
ground service use is provided by the addition of carbon black and chemical thermal stabi(izers.
Typical Apptications for (nterstate PE3408 Pipe
• Municipal water service lines • Industrial water distribution
• Well piping ~ Oil patch lines
• Lawn sprinkler systems • Drilling supply lines
• Swimming pools • Sewer lines
• Livestock watering lines • Marine lines
• Potable water distribution lines • Process cooling lines
• Farm and ranch irrigation • Ground source heat pumps
• Fiber optic innerduct • Electrical conduit
