SUBJECT: ldaste l-fater Treatnent Site - Pineridge Addition
(Refer to diagram on back) Test holes 1& 4 had soil characteristics
ivithin the category of "slight" limitations for sub-surface disposal
drainfields.
These same holes had moderate to severe limitations for a lagoon on
the basis of a low water retention ability of the soil.
(This limitation can be r,ene died artificially by importing clay toom
soils to build the lagoon or through the use of bentonete or polyethy-
lene liners, etc.)
Test holes 2& 3 had moderate to severe limitations for both drain-
fields and lagoon due to following:
1. Presence of saturated soil material and probable aiater
table at 70" (inches) below surface in test hole 03.
2. Geoloqical characteristics of area being on same
approximate elevation level as Chester Creek aihich
receives and has potential of receiving large volumes •
of surface run off ioater.
In conclusion, the eastern 1/2 of the area bettreen railroad right of rray
and test holes 1& 4 would not be an approvable zone for 7ocating any
v+aste water disposal arrangements.
