7. Spvkane Gounty has established speciic criteria for considering the extensivn of tine for
the expiration of preliminary subdivisions, specificalty for regular subdxvisions, and
department policy for shart subdivasivns. These cariteria are fvund in Chapter III, Sectian
G of the 5pakane County Subdivisian ardinance and have been used as a basis for this
deGI51DI1. Section G states, "Apprvval of a preliminary subdivision shall automatically expire three
years after preiiminary apprava1 is granted wnless a time exteri,5ivn is applied for." and
fallvws with "Upon application far time extensian , the 13ivisivn of Building and

8, Na additianal conditivns have been recaFn.mended by tlie Counry Health District, Count}r
T]tilities and the Cvunky Divisi❑n of Engineering and Raads. The Central VaIley 5chvv1
District has responded ta the xeques[ fvr extensian of time (See 1etter dated April 8,
1996) and has requested that the Caunty deny the request or condition the approval of the
request contingent upvn the applicant agreeing to mitigate the impacts of the progosal.
9. This is the first request for a tirne extension. The tvtal life of the preliminary piat has
been appraximately ttaree (3) years. The request for time extensian was received
