The existing roofing consists of a two-ply overlay over the original roofing over a plywood decking. A one square foot sample of the existing roofing was removed and found to have a weight of approximately 2.8 PSF. The existing roof can support the added roofing (Per section 706.2 of the 2012 IEBC). Sullivan Rd Spokane Valley, WA E Dear Tony, C Per my walk over and inspection I found the existing roof to be in need of replacement,no damaged decking was noted at this time. Therefore I propose the following. 0 With a structural engineers certificate that the building will take the additional weight of M '/2 pound per sq ft(cost$400.00 plus tax not included in below)I use Womer and Associates. And work with them to do the 1 square foot weight sample and seal in testing area. M E Roof as follows. Mechanically attach a'/2 foam separation board. Install a 60 mil white TPO reinforced roof R membrane mechanically attached. Properly flash 2 chimney's and 3 pipe penetrations with C system specific detail item products. Install termination bar around perimeter to terminate. Thi system carries a 12 year leakage service warranty. I rice $6,000.00 plus tax and permit. A In the event an engineers certificate cannot be acquired a asbestos test is required per Spokane TT County Code. In the rare event asbestos is found an abatement contractor will be required. L Spokane Commercial Roofing does not doasbestos abatement. The cost for removal is as follows and is not included in above pricing.
