CONDITIONS
* Prior to performing excavation work in the Right-of-Way, permittee shall field locate existing stormwater and irrigation
infrastructure through visual inspection of existing finish grade facilities. Permittee may also contact City of Spokane Valley
Stormwater Utility division at(509) 720-5005 (Aaron Clary)to request maps and other available documents to clarify and
assist in locating these utilities.
* Prior to excavation, it is the Contractor responsibility to contact the purveyor of any transmission pipeline that is within 100
feet of permitted work, as per RCW 19.122.033.
* For work blocking less than 50% of a local access street the contractor, at a minimum, is required to have Construction
Ahead signs placed ahead of the work zone. Note—if it turns out that the work blocks more than 50% of a local access
street then this permit is not valid and the contractor must submit a traffic control plan to the City for review/acceptance prior
to continuance of the work. All traffic control shall follow MUTCD standards.

The ownership of a Spokane Valley Development Permit will inure to the property owner. The permit
applicant, by definition, is the property owner or an authorized agent of the property owner. It is the
responsibility of the applicant/ permittee that the use described on the front of this permit complies with
applicable codes and that required inspections are requested. Failure to request inspections as listed
below and obtain the necessary approvals before progressing beyond the point where inspections are
required and may necessitate removal of certain parts of the construction are the applicant's / permittee's
or property owner's expense.
