RE: Violation In Accordance With: Section 1.04.070 Wastewater Disposal; and Section 1.04.080,
Subsection 3, Use of Wastewater Plumbing and Disposal Systems; of the Spokane County Rules
and Regulations for Sewage Disposal Systems.
Dear Mr. Schuler:
On October 20, 1997, the Spokane Regional Health District received a public complaint regarding 2
trailers on property without water or sewage at 601 S. Thierman. In response to the above
allegation, a representative from the Environmental Health Division performed a site inspection on
November 18, 1997 at 601 S. Thierman.
As a result of this inspection, it was verified that observed conditions are in violation of Spokane County
regulations pertaining to sewage disposal systems. Findings concluded: One trailer removed,
however, one remains. To be a legal residence the trailer must have water under pressure and a
legal sewage system.
A check with the County Assessor's records has you listed as the current property owner. Based on the
foregoing violation, you are hereby directed to perform the following remedial measures by not later than
December 15, 1997. Trailer must be removed or legally connected to water and sewage lines.
Check with the County Building Department for zoning and building permit requirements..
A follow-up on-site investigation will be conducted by this office immediately after the foregoing
compliance date. Failure to comply will result in appropriate judicial action.
Should you have any questions regarding this letter, including the remedial measures specified herein,
please contact our office at 324-1580.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DIVISION
