Development Engineering is requesting that the City Legal Department review the attached
documentation regarding Shamrock Lane Tract X to determine if we are able to require the
property owners to dedicate the Tract X as public road right-of-way. Once Legal has made a
determination, Development Engineering requests direction on how to proceed.
Background Information
Tract X was created by PE-1667 Lennox Subdivision a County Plat recorded in 1997
Development Engineering conditioned SUB-04-07 Meadowcrest Estates to construct and
connect to the south end of the Shamrock Lane Tract X with a public road.
Development Engineering mailed letters to Shamrock Lane property owners May 2008
requesting the dedication of the Tract X (see attached letter). To date, no responses have been
received.
Development Engineering has withheld formal preliminary plat recommendations for SHP-02-08
(proposed plat to the East) until a determination has been made on the City's ability to obtain
Shamrock Lane as right-of-way.
