AMENDMENT No. 1
TO
SUBRECIPIENT AGREEMENT
By this amendment, the agreement between Spokane County Community Services,
Housing, and- Community Development Department, 312 W. 8th Avenue, Spokane,
Washington, 99204, hereinafter referred to as "County", and City of Spokane Valley,
whose address is 11707 E Sprague Avenue, Suite 106, Spokane Valley, WA 99206
hereinafter referred to as "Subrecipient" and jointly referred to, along with the County, as
the "Parties", dated July 1, 2015, Contract 15-17, herein referred to as the "agreement", is
amended as described herein.
RECITALS
WHEREAS: County desires to ensure the full project is completed as outlined in the
application and construction is not anticipated to be completed by June 30, 2016; and
WHEREAS: Subrecipient has determined that the actual construction and proper project
closure/retainage release will not be completed due to school schedules and a safer
construction site once school is dismissed for summer, now requests period of
performance be extended to September 30, 2016;
For valuable consideration and promises contained herein, the agreement is hereby
amended as stated below:
1. Section III. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE.
Period of Performance is extended to September 30, 2016.
2. Section V. FUNDING.
Section C: All funds obligated or committed by the Subrecipient to contractors,
suppliers, etc. during the Project Period must be expended on or before September
30, 2016. CDBG funds, which are not expended by September 30, 2016, shall be
returned to the County.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Parties have caused this Agreement to be subscribed this
