The develv~ment is divided intv thirteen (13) basins, A through M See Drainage Map fvr Midilvme East Znd Additivn Each basin is compased of twv subareas; i) grass 1av+ms and swales, and 2} irnperviaus ravfs, driveways, and asphalt paved streets. Stormvvater flows overiand acrass rovfs, grass tawns, and driveways and into grass swales behind the street curbs. 5tormwater ftom asphalt streets flaws along the curb gutters and inta the grass swales through driveway c'ut$ cuts and curb vpenings located at 1ow pvints in the curb profile. As specified in the "Cruidelines for Stvrmwater Management", page 5-4, where a slvping svvale is iess than 100 feet lang, and slapes 1% or less, Che swale may be cansidered flat. Drivevvays aIong the road will ahstruct the swates, creating a series of individual swales that are less than 100 feet lvng and less than 1.0°/o, and binches , deep between tlne driveways. The Ratnanal and Sowstring NTethads were used to calculate the peak stormwater runvff for each basFn, and the , type and number of dryyvells needed for each basin based on the storage capacity ofthe swale Tn acevrdance with "Svil 5urvey, Spokane CountY, VVashixagton", 1968, the soids at the site are categvrized as: ' GrnB, Garrison very gradelly loarty,... sinailar to Garrison gravelly loam, except that the surface layer is very gravefly. SxB, Springdale gravelly sandy loam, deep,.. sirnilar to Springdale gravelly lvam, except that the depth to gravel and cvarse sand is mvre than 36 inches. A driWeway cut of 11.35 feet is required for this subbasin, but is less than the typical driveway cut vf 24 feet.
