MICHAEL HUFFMAN being first duly swom on oath deposes and says that he is the EDITOR of the Spokane Valley News
Herald, a weekly newspaper. That said newspaper is a legal newspaper and it is now and has been for more than six months prior
to the date of publication hereinafter referred to, published in the English language continually as a weekly newspaper in Spokane
County, Washington, and it is now and during all of said time was printed in an office maintained at the aforesaid place of
publication of said newspaper. which said newspaper had been approved as a legal newspaper by order of the Superior Court of
the State of Washington in and for Spokane County. That the following is a true copy of a Legal Notice as it was published in

project consists of the construction of a one
mile by twelve foot wide asphalt path from
Pines Rd to Evergreen Rd. Landscaping,
Vail amenities and irrigation may also be
installed along the corridor. The project will
include installation of midblock crossings l I Il
at Pines Rd, McDonald Rd, Blake Rd and
Evergreen Rd and may include pedestrian /,

once made. Pursuant to Spokane Valley
Municipal Code (SVMC) 17.90 (Appeals), a
written appeal of the decision shall be filed
with the City of Spokane Valley Community
and Economic Development Dept within
fourteen (14) calendar days after the date
the notice of the decision is mailed. Stand-
ing to appeal a decision shall be determined
in accordance with the provisions of SVMC
17.90.030 (Standing).
General Location: Located two blocks
south of Sprague Ave along the former
Milwaukee Railroad corridor between
Pines Rd and Evergreen Rd, It is situated
in Section 22, Township 25 North, Range
44 East, Willamette Meridian, Spokane
County, Washington

Required Studies: None required at time
of this notice of application.
Environmental Review: The City of
Spokane Valley Community and Eco-
nomic Development Dept. has reviewed
the proposal/project for probable adverse
environmental impacts and expects to issue
a Determination of Non -Significance (DNS)
for this project. The optional DNS process
in WAC 197-11-355 is being used. THIS
MAY BE YOUR ONLY OPPORTUNITY
TO COMMENT ON THE ENVIRONMEN-
TAL IMPACTS OF THE. PROPOSED
PROJECT.
Existing Environmental Documents:
None.
Applicable Development Regulations:
SVMC Title 21 (Environmental Controls),
2009 City of Spokane Valley Street Stan-
dards, and 2008 Regional Stormwater
Manual are primary development regula-
tions applicable to the site.
Public Hearing: Pursuant to SVMC
17.80.060, the Cityof Spokane ValleyCom-
munily and Economic Development Dept.
shall be the decision -maker on a proposal.
Therefore, the proposal a not subject to a
. future public hearing.
