WALNUT ROAD, SPOKANE VALLEY, WA 99206 Dear Jeff: This post frame building has been sold to Ms. Lankford and will be erected according to standard plans prepared for Spokane Post Frame, Inc. for 30-PSF live load, 85 MPH wind speed, Exposure B, Seismic Design Category C and 2,000 PSF allowable soil bearing pressure, IBC 2003. Posts are located @ 10'0" o. c. and the roof has a 4:12 pitch. I have reviewed the design of this building and checked it for the diaphragm design criteria used in the standard plan design. The front endwall has an 8' x 7' overhead door and a 4 x 3' window. There is sufficient steel sheeting on these endwalls to transfer lateral loads imposed on the roof and walls to the post foundations. The rear endwall has no openings. There is sufficient steel sheeting on these endwalls to transfer lateral loads imposed on the roof and walls to the post foundations. There is an 1-8'x 8' overhead door in the left sidewall. The right sidewall has no openings. Sidewall openings do not affect the lateral load resistance of the building. The 18' x 8' door opening is directly under a pair of trusses supporting the roof. These trusses are supported by a glue lam beam 5 1/8"x 13 '/2", 24F-V4, DF/DF. The glue lam beam rests on 6" x 6" Hem-Fir#2 treated posts with Simpson ECCQ 5 1/4-6 SDS2 column caps. Use standard post frame building plans for all framing details for this building with the above exception. Please feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions about the design of this building. Sin erely, 6 —CreL 64114 ‘,1- j WA Daniel Wambeke, P.E. \-oF WAS rit 4 Enclosures 4•• .
