Re: Current City of Spokane Valley's Interim Zoning Code Regulation for the
Rebuilding of a Non-Conforming Structure.
On March 1st, 2006 information was requested regarding the City of Spokane
Valley's regulations for the rebuilding of a nonconforming structure at 1120-22 S.
Walnut Rd. (Parcel No.: 45204.1729). Section 14.508.060 (Non-Conforming
Buildings and Structures) of the City of Spokane Valley's Interim Zoning Code
states: "Restoration of a nonconforming building or structure which is damaged by fire,
flood, or act of nature shall be initiated, as evidence by the issuance of a valid building
permit within one (1) year of the date of such damage or destruction, and diligently pursued
to completion."
