I have received confirmation from the City's Building Official, Doug Powell,for this special circumstance we are able to allow you to enter into a voluntary compliance agreement(VCA)for paving to occur after you receive a final inspection of your proposed detached garage. I explained a similar situation happened to your neighbor fronting on Jackson Avenue. When you apply for the detached garage,a condition will be placed on the building permit that requires you to contact a Planner(myself) and enter into a voluntary compliance agreement(VCA) before receiving a final building inspection with a time limit of no more than 6 months to complete the paving requirement. Please bring a copy of this email when you submit for your building permit. I'd be happy to review your site plan when you are ready to submit. Please ask for me at the Permit Center.
