Inland Asphalt Company Contract No. 16-066.01
The City of Spokane Valley is furnishing several proprietary items for the Traffic Signal System
Modifications bid item. Our traffic department mistakenly ordered additional equipment that was
intended to be furnished by the contractor. We have an approved Public Interest Finding that
allows the City to furnish these items. This change order reduces the Traffic Signal System
Modifications lump sum bid item by the invoiced amount that was paid for the additional
equipment.
The total estimated cost (including sales tax) for this Change Order work is -$4,124.00. There
are no increases to the construction cost for this item.

Good Morning Dan,
The Traffic Signal System Modification bid item included furnishing and installation of a multimode phase selector and
detectors. The City of Spokane Valley has mistakenly ordered these items with the other equipment we are furnishing. The City
proposes reducing the Traffic Signal System Modifications lump sum total cost by the cost of these materials and furnishing the
items to Colvico. This change would reduce the traffic signal modification bid item by $4,124,the amount of the attached
invoice. The new lump sum Traffic Signal System Modifications item would then be$58,876.
Please let me know if you agree with this proposed change.
Thanks,
Erica K. Amsden, P.E.
