CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at approximately
10:00 a.m. by Building and Safety's Code Compliance Cuordinator Tom
Davis, with the following in attendance.

SCOPE/PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
I. General Overview - Proposed is the construction of 7500 square
foot office and print shop. The occupant for the proposed building
will be alpha printing. They estimate their number of employees to
increase from six to 10.
II. Construction Time - The applicant would like to begin
construction as soon as possible.
SIIMMARY OF D$PARTMENTAL REQIIIRLMSNTS:
I. Planning Department (456-2205)
A. Discussion/Requirements
1. The proposed building is located in a ManuFacturing
zone and the proposed use us permitted.
2. Parking for the proposed is adequate, 21 spaces are
required and 33 spaces are available.
3. A driveway width adjustment is needed. A design
standard was given to the app.l icant diiring the meeting by
John Harrington.

4. All parking spaces must be within 60 feet of a
landscape feature consisting of at least 32 square feet in
area.
5. Al1 landscaping must be installed by April 15, 1990.
6. Please submit an updated critical materials listing to
Building and Safety. The proposed is located on the
Aquifer sensitive area.
B. Permit Release Requirements

1. A landscaping plan shall be submitted for review and
approval. Also an estimate from a nursery, indicating,
size, type and quantity along with a promissory letter
from the owner stating the landscaping will be installed
shall be submitted.
II. Engineering Department (456-3600)
A. Discussion/Requirements
1. Comments were given to the applicant and Building and
Safety by Bob McCann.
2. Please submit a drainage plan for review. At a minimum
the plan shall contain the following: drainage
calculations for stormwater volumes generated on site,
calculations for total impervious surfaces contained
within the site, finished grade elevations for structures
to be constructed on site, finished grade elevations at
the top and bottom of the 208 swale, a typical cross
section of the 208 swale, calculations to justify the
number and type of drywells proposed, and elevation of
drywell inlets where applicable.
3. The proposed is is affected by the "Findings and
Order" and the "Conditions of Approval" for Bindinq Site
Plan No 17-87.
B. Permit Release Requirements
1. Approach permits must be obtained for any driveway
approaches to the County Road System.
2. Please submit a drainage plan as described above for
review and approval.

III. Health District (456-6040)
A. Discussion/Requirements
1. Please submit a revised site plan illustrating all
proposed on site utilities and the locations of off site
utilities and the location of where they will be
connected.
2. Please submit an overall utility plan for Spokane
Industrial park.

3. There will be no waste water disposal allowed on site.
4. Please submit an updated critical materials listing to
Building and Safety for review.
B. Permit Release Requirements
l. The Health District will not release their portion of
the building permit until the Department of Ecology
reviews the proposed project and gives their approval.
IV. Building and Safety (456-3675)
A. Discussion/Requirements
l. Plan review has been completed on preliminary plans
and a letter was given to the applicant by Tom Postlewait.
Comments included handicap requirements, mechanical
requirements, wind zone requirements, energy comments, and
fire extinguishers.
2. Fire District No. 1 is requiring tne installation of
one additional fire hydrant for the proposed project. The
applicant will need to contact Eric Olson of Fire District
No. 1 at 928-2462 to discuss the location of the hydrant.
3. Please submit a revised set of floor plans for review
and approval.
4. Please submit a updated critical materials listing to
Building and Safety for review.
5. The proposed building must comply with the 1988
Edition of the Uniform Building Code. The plans indicate
compliance with the 1985 Edition of the Uniform Building
Code.
6. Floor drains shall be reviewed by the Department of
Ecoloqy and the Spokane County Health Department.

1. Two complete revised sets of plans addressinq the
items discussed durinq and after the meeting and other
items from the plan review letter needs to be submitted
for review and approval.
